Central Baptist Church - “A church at the heart of the city, with the city at our heart!”

We meet on Sunday’s during the morning service. Our aim is to make this the best hour of every child’s week by using Bible stories, singing, drama, crafts and DVD’s to show who Jesus is, the message of His Good News, and how they can come to worship, know and love Him.

Children holding handsCentral Baptist church cares for the whole church family and a big part of that family are the young people, children and young families that attend our fellowship. We have so many great people who volunteer and so many wonderful young people and kids who take part in the activities. There are loads of opportunities to get involved and we would love to tell you about them.

Under 5's Work

We aim to be a family friendly church and therefore we seek to accommodate the whole family and that starts from the time your little one arrives.

New Arrivals

We are aware that this can be a little overwhelming whether it’s your first or fifth! Therefore we informally provide meals for the family at a time that suits you. This ministry is organised on a very private and discrete way.

The aim of crèche is to provide a positive experience (hopefully with happier customers than this!) of church and show the love of Jesus to our wee ones and at the same time give the parents the opportunity to relax in church listening to teaching from Gods word knowing their children are being well cared for. ?

With similar aims to the crèche we continue to build on the good work of crèche in a group that caters for the active and creative side of the 3-5 year age group. Everything from games to songs to bible stories. You will be sure to find a large amount of sticky stuff, playdoh and fun here. There is always a need here for people who have energy to use up caring for our Sparklers. Please contact Lesley Inglis or Mhairi Gallacher if you are interested in finding out more about Sparklers.

5-11 years (Primary School Age)

Trailblazers (Sunday School)

At present our Sunday School is made up of classes by age group. It meets during the morning service and serves to help the children understand the bible using games quizzes, songs and stories.

Babies and Toddlers Lochee Group

This Group meets from 9.30-11.30a.m. on Fridays in the Lochee Centre. It provides an opportunity for parents, grandparents, nannies and childminders to get together and chat over tea or coffee. A snack is provided for the children. The children are enabled to socialise and play in a stimulating environment with planned activities, and a range of toys that promote the individual child’s development and learning stage.

Supported Sunday School

We aim to support all children with additional support needs during the Sunday morning activities.  Depending on the needs of the individual children we support them either within the main groups or in the Sensory Room.

If you need to fill out a child consent form, go to the Forms page.
