Women's Ministry at Central

“And this is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11

These verses encapsulate the aim of the Women’s Ministry Programme at Central Baptist: that women may be increasingly filled with love for the Lord and for others as they grow in knowledge and depth of insight of His Word.

In order to facilitate this for the women of Central Baptist Church, we run the ministries listed below.

Our Women’s Pastoral Coordinator, Karen Keir, leads the woman’s ministry and can be contacted via the church office (office@centraldundee.com) for information on any of the women’s ministries.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES

Each session takes the format of a time of teaching (working through a book of the Bible) and large group/small group discussion followed by a time of prayer in small groups.

There are two groups both of which run during term time and study the same material each week:

Tuesdays at 8pm: meets on Zoom

Wednesdays at 10am: meets in person in a local home; with a zoom option for those unable to physically attend.

MUM’S BIBLE STUDY

This group meets weekly during term-time and is designed for mums of little ones (babies/pre-school children).   Each week we study just a few verses (often from a Psalm); allowing God’s Word to root deeply in our hearts amidst the busyness of this season of life.   We meet with the children in the room so no need to find childcare for your little one(s).

Fridays at 1pm: meets in person in a local home.

ONE-TO-ONE

Central Baptist Church offers a one-to-one discipleship course: an intentional, purposeful, biblical, accountable, voluntary and time-limited course to further growth in walking with God.  The pattern is to meet on a regular basis with a lead partner for 45-60 minutes and use the provided material as a basis for discussion. Please contact the church office if this is something you would be interested in. It is open to everyone in the church, no matter your age or stage of life.

We also aim to meet together periodically for a variety of Women’s Events including Women’s Breakfasts, Conferences and Craft Evenings.

These are opportunities for further teaching, fellowship and outreach, depending on the nature of the event.
